We received order for Water Treatment Plant in Congo

Ebara Engineering Service Co., Ltd. has set up a joint venture (JV) with Dai Nippon Construction Co., Ltd. and Iwata Chizaki Construction Corporation, and on November 12, 2010, the same JV made a contract with the Public Corporation of Water Distribution of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (LA REGIE DE DISTRIBUTION D’EAU DE LA REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO)(abbreviated as "REGIDESO") for the Project of Extension of the Ngaliema Water Treatment Plant in the City of Kinshasa (LE PROJET D’EXTENSION DE L’USINE DE TRAITEMENT DES EAUX DE NGALIEMA DANS LA VILLE DE KINSHASA).

This Project is intended to increase the capacity of the Ngaliema Water Treatment Plant existing in the city of Kinshasa, capital of the same country, by 30,000 t/d (over the existing capacity 80,000 t/d). This Project is able to secure the water supply newly for 920,000 people and contributes greatly to the dissolution of water shortages accompanying the increase in population of capital Kinshasa.

Since April 1, 2010, Ebara Engineering Service Co., Ltd. has engaged in the business as a general water business company in partnership with three enterprises, EBARA Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation and JGC Corporation. In the future as well, Ebara Engineering Service Co., Ltd. will make efforts for the business development in the expanding water market of the world and contribute to the solution of the water problems in the world.
