Biomass energy utilization project in sewage treatment plant, Kurobe City
Currently, we are constructing a facility to recycle biomass energy from wastewater consigned by Kurobe Municipal Council.
In this project, wastewater sludge (condensed sludge) and food residue from the food industry (coffee bean residue) are mixed for methane fermentation to recover biogas for efficient energy use (electric power, steam). Because adequate consideration is given to the local environment, local residents will be able to use this facility as a place for recreation after its completion. The scheduled operation period after construction is 15 years.
